ABOUT THE COURSE:
Litigation is a very expensive business to begin with, but if not properly managed, legal costs can become enormous. The core of effective litigation
management is good communication with everyone involved in a case. Good communication can eliminate most surprises, whether you deal with one case a year or hundreds of cases.
An open line of communication is to be maintained between a risk or litigation manager and parties concerned so as to understand the goals to be achieved.
Every organization, regardless of size, is likely to face litigation sooner or later. What makes a difference is the way the organization handles its legal matters and how everyone involved works together.
This course will cover achieving optimum results in mediation though sophisticated tactics and techniques. There will be a discussion on the best way to prepare for mediation to tee up effective negotiation. The discussion will include developing a team between the claims professional and counsel; effective opening sessions; and impasse breaking techniques. The course will include case studies to demonstrate the application of the suggested techniques. The course will be interactive with an opportunity for questions and answers.
